COVID-19

Greetings to our congregation,

We are pleased to announce that in-person Sabbath Worship Services are scheduled to begin again at Park Street Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath, May 1, 2021.

We continue to be cautious and safe and will monitor and follow set guidance from the State of Ohio, CDC & Allegheny West Conference of Seventh-day Adventist.

Below is a summary of what you can anticipate for Sabbath Services:

In person worship service time will start at 10:00 am for Sabbath School, followed promptly at 11:00 am for Grace Worship. In person worship occupancy will be limited to 25 people.

For the protection of all, everyone aged six (6) and older is required to wear a face mask at all times, use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the building and practice 6-feet social distancing at all times. Everyone will also have their temperature checked upon entering the building.

Please Note: If you are not feeling well, if you are in a vulnerable category for health reasons, or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, we urge you to continue worshiping on our Prayer Line instead of coming into our church building.

We respect everyone’s personal choices and circumstances as to when they are comfortable returning to in person worship. While we are following safety guidelines, we also understand that it is not in the best interest for some to return to public services. Online Services will continue on our Prayer Line by calling 216-799-0001, Access Code: 2843193.

When you attend each Sabbath, you will notice these changes:

Welcomers will greet you at the door to ensure that all are wearing face masks (ages 6+). Your temperature will be taken with a touchless thermometer. If your temperature reads 100.4° or over, it will not be safe for you to enter the building.

To further reduce ‘the spread,’ the water fountain is not to be used. For your comfort, you may bring bottled water into the sanctuary (we will have a limited supply).

As you enter the sanctuary please reverently move to the front. Families may sit together and seating should be every other pew to maintain six feet or more distance between you and other non-family members. At the conclusion of the service, please follow prompts given, as congregants will exit from the rear to the front and should move safely to their vehicles. For the safety of all, please refrain from physical contact with other congregants (handshakes, hugs, etc. are highly discouraged).

The offering plate will be located on the table at the front of the sanctuary for you to place your offering as you enter. All offering MUST be in a tithe envelope (checks and currency only). You may continue to use our online giving, mail or drop off to the treasurer.

Our Sabbath order of service will not change from what we are currently following to limit time in the church building. We are currently refraining from congregational singing and those providing special music will be socially distanced from the congregation.

Weather dependent, windows will be opened to provide ventilation in the sanctuary. Please bring a sweater, jacket or wrap so that you will be comfortable.

As we continue to maintain a clean and safe environment for our congregation, please note that the Family Room is only open to persons operating the sound system and the treasury department, and the kitchen is closed.

With our shortened time in the building, we would encourage you not to use the restrooms while attending. However, if needed, YOU must follow ALL posted guidelines concerning the sanitization of the restrooms and occupancy is one person at a time.

All other services and meetings will continue to be held on our Prayer Line.

To God be the glory for His wonderous love and protection during our time apart. Please continue to pray for our church family. We look forward to worshipping in person with those able to attend.

May God bless you all with peace and good health,

The Park Street Seventh-day Adventist Church Board
